Prince Buthelezi Mall

Previously referred to as Greenhills Mall, the new Prince Buthelezi Mall is set to become a beacon of hope and pride in the area of Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal. The name change was done in honour of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, a respected figure in the Zulu culture who played a vital role in uplifting the communities of KZN.

The architectural design is inspired by the lush, green rolling hills of the area, and the project aims to create a dominant and aspirational shopping experience for Empangeni and the greater surrounding areas.

The mall will feature a vibrant and upscale design, with on-grade safe parking, top-notch security, an attractive food court, entertainment spaces, art installations, free Wi-Fi, a creative kiddies play area and much more.

Additionally, we are investing over R70 million in upgrading the bridge, roads and infrastructure leading to Prince Buthelezi , and we are working closely with taxi associations to facilitate commuter access from the CBD to our mall.

Prince Buthelezi Mall is proud to present a dynamic and diverse tenant mix that reflects both national strength and local flavour. We have secured commitments from leading fashion retailers, including TFG, Pepkor, Mr Price Group, Truworths, Retailability, Studio 88 Brands, Jam Clothing, and many more.

The centre also boasts a vibrant food offering, anchored by some of the country’s most recognised brands such as Spur, Panarottis, Burger King, Nando’s, Hungry Lion, Roman’s Pizza, a McDonalds Drive Thru and many more.

In addition, we are excited to confirm the participation of major financial institutions, many of whom are opening second or third branches in the area, including Capitec, FNB, Standard Bank, Absa, and Old Mutual.
