Sonheuwel Shopping Centre

Sonheuwel Shopping Centre is a new 12,000 m² convenience and community retail development planned for the corner of Dr Enos Mabuza Drive and Johanna Drive in Mbombela. Positioned along a busy commuter route, the centre will offer excellent visibility and convenient access from both roads.

The development will serve Sonheuwel and surrounding residential areas, including Steiltes, The Rest and Uitkyk, where continued residential growth is increasing demand for accessible, everyday retail. Its location also provides easy access to the Mbombela CBD, major medical facilities and key routes such as the R40 and N4.

Sonheuwel Shopping Centre will feature a carefully selected mix of retailers, restaurants and services, supported by approximately 533 parking bays. Around 2,000 m² will be dedicated to a medical services facility, creating a comprehensive healthcare offering within the precinct. The centre is scheduled to open in October 2027.
