Mall at Newmarket

Moolman Group redeveloped Alberton’s former Newmarket Racecourse to open the 42 674 m² Mall at New Market shopping centre on 22 October 2015. Checkers Hyper, Food Lover’s Market, Virgin Active, Builder’s Warehouse and Dis-Chem anchors the building, and is central to a value and destination hub including Macro, Decathlon and various drive-thru restaurants.

In 2023 Mall at Newmarket  added  1 900m² welcoming Woolworths Edit, UNIQ, Mr Price, Sheet Street, Milky Lane and Milady’s to the centre. The Centre also revamped its restrooms and common areas  offering the Alberton Community a vibrant new atmosphere

The ancillary Medi-Mix building, adjacent to the nearby Netcare Union Hospital, includes a wide spectrum of healthcare providers, thus providing additional footfall and a captive market – further strengthening the node.
