The redevelopment and expansion of Matsamo Plaza in 2022 was initiated to make room for the growing demand of the Buffelspruit and surrounding community. The mall’s vibrancy has been bolstered with an additional 10,512 m² of trading volume to create Matsamo Mall – cementing its position as a central retail hub for local customers.

The mall is set to enhance the current retail offering of the Schoemansdal District and bring value to residents of neighbouring countries (Swaziland and Mozambique) with anchor stores namely Shoprite, Roots, Clicks, Cashbuild, and Boxer.
